Update your PEPPOL information

As of 1 January 2026, all companies registered for VAT in Belgium will be legally required to send and receive structured electronic invoices for B2B and B2G transactions.

This e-invoicing will take place through the PEPPOL network.

We kindly ask you to check and, if necessary, update your profile no later than 1 December 2025 via our website:www.iiabelgium.org

Depending on your situation, please take the following action:

1. Organisations without PEPPOL information in their profile

Are you registered on our website as an organisation with a VAT number, but the field “PEPPOL identifier” in your profile is still empty?

Please make sure to enter or verify your VAT number in your organisation profile so that electronic invoices can be delivered correctly.

2. Individual members invoiced to a company but without an organisation profile

Are you registered as an individual member, but your invoices are issued to a company with a VAT number?

Please create an organisation profile first (via your account on our website → My Organisation → Start your own organisation), and complete all invoicing details, including your company’s VAT number.

Make sure to also fill in the “PEPPOL identifier” field.

Everyone who receives invoices in the name of a company must create an organisation profile by 1 January 2026.

If you are part of a larger organisation, please note that it is the responsibility of your group administrator to ensure this information is completed and up to date.

3. Individuals without a company

Are you an individual without a VAT number or company?

No action is required. This obligation applies only to VAT-registered entities (B2B/B2G).

Important:

If you do not update your information before 1 December 2025, IIA Belgium will add the VAT number in our system based on the data we currently hold.

This step is necessary to comply with the legal requirements on e-invoicing.
