On behalf of IIA Belgium, we want to thank all of you who joined us for our Virtual General Assembly 2025, on 17 June 2025. Your participation and engagement continue to drive our mission forward and reflect the strength and commitment of our vibrant internal audit community.
A year in review and a bright future!
During the meeting, we presented a comprehensive overview of IIA Belgium, our 2024 financial statements, and key performance insights such as our social media impact, training highlights, and membership growth. The session opened with a message from our President Sofie Pollet and CEO Cedric Hamaekers, followed by a global update from Isabel Derison that positioned our efforts within the broader international context.
In addition, we provided insights into our evolving strategy and community initiatives. We took a moment to reflect on our refreshed leadership approach, underpinned by stronger engagement, and emphasized our renewed commitment to a member-centric strategy. The value of our Ambassadors Community, the growing impact of our advocacy efforts, and our ongoing outreach to universities were also discussed. We highlighted the importance of nurturing a true sense of community and the increasing role of the co-creation with our members in shaping our future.
Election Results
We are pleased to share that participants voted overwhelmingly in favor of the items presented during the election.
