In Memoriam – Monique Garsoux

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Monique Garsoux, former Vice-Chair of the Board of IIA Belgium and volunteer, who left us last Sunday.

Our thoughts are with Monique’s family, friends, and all who had the privilege to know her. We extend our heartfelt condolences to her loved ones during this difficult time.

Monique was more than just a colleague – she was a true advocate for the internal audit profession, a source of wisdom, and an inspiration to many. Her contributions to IIA Belgium and to the broader audit community were invaluable, and her legacy will continue to shape the profession for years to come.

We are sure that many of you have fond memories or beautiful stories about Monique . Moments that reflect her dedication, kindness, and support for others. We hope you will take a moment to remember her and share those stories, so we can collectively celebrate the positive impact she had on all of us.
