We are pleased to host, in collaboration with KPMG, our annual event bringing together Audit Committee members and their Internal Audit leaders.
Following the strong success of the first edition last year, prior participants recognized it as a unique and highly valued concept, this event aims to further strengthen the dialogue and collaboration between Audit Committees and Internal Audit functions.
This interactive event provides a platform to reflect on the key challenges organizations face today and to explore how these can be addressed by Audit Committees in close cooperation with Internal Audit. The program combines keynote perspectives and testimonials, giving voice to Internal auditors and Audit Committee members from diverse sectors and backgrounds, and encourages active participant interaction.
This year’s theme, “Beyond oversight – Remaining resilient in challenging times,” sets the tone for a forward-looking discussion.

The event will open with a keynote address by Jack Hamande, AG of the National Crisis Center, followed by an insights session on operational resilience and the related role of Internal Audit and Audit Committees, presented by Raphael Schair (KPMG).
We also have interesting testimonials from both a Chief Audit Executive (Szandra Nagyne Komocsi, Chief Auditor of Euroclear Group) and an Audit Committee Member (TBC s).

Keynote speakers:
 | Jack Hamande is Director General of the Belgian National Crisis Centre (NCCN), under the FPS Interior. The NCCN operates across the entire risk cycle, encompassing risk analysis, critical entities, preparedness, emergency planning, effective crisis management, and resilience. Crisis management in Belgium operates on multiple levels, from municipal to provincial, and ultimately federal level. When a federal-level emergency is declared, the NCCN takes charge of coordinating all relevant ministries and crisis management actors. Jack has held various executive positions both in the private and public sectors at Verizon, BIPT (Belgian Regulator in charge of electronic communications, network security, ..), Federal Public Services (FPS) Bosa in charge of digitalization (trust services, applications, AI,..). At the international level, as a Belgian representative, he has been actively involved in the European Commission, BEREC, UPU, and ITU works.. |
 | Raphaël Schair is a Director at KPMG Advisory with 20 years of experience in risk management, internal audit, and internal control across the corporate and public sectors. He co-leads Operational Resilience services, supporting organizations in designing and implementing business continuity and resilience frameworks through all-hazards risk assessments, resilience gap analyses, governance and operating model design, resilience planning, incident management and escalation frameworks, crisis management and business continuity improvements, tabletop exercises and simulations, third-party and supply chain resilience assessments, and the integration of CER, NIS2, DORA, and broader operational resilience requirements into a coherent compliance framework. |
